A Guide to Diagnosis and Management
In 2016 we have begun to contribute to the training of OCOs in Jinja (Eastern Uganda). Like Kenya, Uganda with a population of about 38 million is very dependent on OCOs for delivering ophthalmic health care. There is a school for OCO training in Jinja and in November 2016 Jane Tapley and Debbie Lysons conducted a 3 day course in orthoptics at the training school.
In 2017 Mr Richard Markham and Mr Mike Eckstein conducted a teaching course on retinal disease.
All donations to The World Sight Foundation go directly to help the initiatives we support.

The World Sight Foundation has been unable to travel to our training centres during the Covid 19 Pandemic. We have however developed an on- line teaching initiative and, in order to extend our training capabilities, have taken the opportunity to write a manual entitled Primary Eye Care - A Guide to Diagnosis and Management.
