In 2016 we have begun to support the training and post graduate education of Ophthalmic Clinical Officers (OCOs) in Nairobi. An OCO association has been formed recently in Kenya under the guidance of Mr George Ohito with the intention of upskilling that cadre of worker. OCOs are thinly and widely scattered throughout the various regions of Kenya and are extremely important in the ophthalmic care of the 45 million people in the country.
Since 2021 we have maintained our presence in Kenya with distance learning courses which we intend to continue.
