The WSF have recently completed another successful course in Ludhiana in India –  32 attended the course – workers who get very little in the way of postgraduate education and so our teaching on current ophthalmology is very well received and subsequent feedback has been very positive. The most important part of the teaching talks is to enable the attendees to identify, not only treatable and relatively simple conditions but also to recognise serious sight threatening eye disease needing urgent assessment and treatment. This is a non-medical group who we are helping to play a much greater part in contributing to the solving of ophthalmic disease in India.
